Of the four parish churches of Jerez de los Caballeros St. Bartholomew highlights for its decor and colorful. It is not until the late fifteenth century when there are supporting documents on the existence of the present Church of St. Bartholomew. Regarding their dating , enrollment has also exists inside the temple , which specifies that one of the side chapels was completed in 1508. During the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries the temple would suffer numerous reforms . Thus, in the seventeenth century, the head of the temple is extended , replacing the vault with a dome on scallops . And next to her it is built in this century a new sacristy. In 1689 the chapel was enlarged and covered by a barrel vault . Finally, in the second half of XVIII the bell tower that is attached to the facade on the side of the Gospel stands .
